●Measurement of coating film thickness

It is a unique film thickness measuring machine that uses a spherical grinding method coated with diamond gypsum balls. Without the need for tedious operations such as sample embedding and grinding, it is both fast and simple, and can accurately measure the thickness of thin films and surface modified layers.

Firstly, add diamond slurry dropwise and grind the surface of the sample with a rotating steel ball. Next, observe the grinding marks and measure the distance between X and Y in the above image. Calculate the film thickness based on the measured length X and Y, as well as the radius of the ball used in grinding, using the above formula.

●Determination of coating adhesion

Rockwell indentation test method: using a diamond indenter to force the material to deform, in order to observe the ability of the surface coating to participate in deformation.
